Hello there! My name is Chan Lee, and I am a graduate student at the Compiler Research Laboratory (Corelab) at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea.
I have research interests in LLM-driven compiler optimization, compiler design, and processing-in-memory (PIM), with a particular focus on using large language models to extend compiler optimization beyond what traditional static analysis can achieve. My current work explores how LLMs can serve as a high-level reasoning component inside the compiler — proposing program transformations that conservative analyses miss — while keeping the resulting optimizations safe and verifiable. In this direction, I aim to bridge the gap between LLM-level reasoning and compiler-grade correctness and broaden the set of optimizations compilers can confidently apply.
